Young’s Restaurant has served traditional Cantonese cuisine in Glenview and the rest of North Shore for almost 50 years.
It
all began when owner, Steve Young, originally started Young’s as
a carry-out only business
with his wife Sue in 1960.
He came to the US in 1938 from what was then the Canton province of China. He served in the US Army and is a veteran of World War II.
His passion for cooking allowed
him to open a restaurant and show Americans flavorful and
healthy alternatives to a traditional meat and potatoes diet.
In 1960, Mr. Young would open up the first Chinese carry-out
in Glenview. In
1967, the business would move into its current
location and become a full service restaurant and carry-out.
Young’s Chinese Restaurant is
known for its tasty dishes. Favorites include our
chop suey, fried rice, and delicious egg rolls. The dining room
has a quiet atmosphere
where our patrons can enjoy their meals.
Young’s remains
as a family owned business and strives to
make
its customers happy with good food and service.
